Calgary Wanderers in Invermere

The Calgary Wanderers Hiking Group spent an enjoyable three days hiking in the Invermere area. The most memorable hike was that to the Lake of the Hanging Glaciers, a lovely teal blue lake with numerable glaciers hanging on the surrounding
mountainsides. The happy hours, dinners and conversations on and off the trail made the excursion lots of fun

Johnny's Birthday

We celebrated Johnny's 28th Birthday with a dinner attended by special guests, Florence and LeeAnn and the Taits and McDonalds and Krystal and Johnny. After dinner we were joined by our neighbours, Bob and Carol and their grandchildren Ellis and Watts. Entertainment was provided by Ryan, Brennan, Ellis and Watts and the rest of us were invited to join them. The evening will, no doubt, be remembered as one of Johnny's more unique birthday celebrations

Emma Lake Revisited

We gave Jim and Carmen a chance to get acquainted with little Mio by taking James and Elijah to join the Taits and Perrys for a few days at Emma. We had glorious sunshine the entire time and much enjoyed the sand and water and comradeship.

Granddaughter

Our ninth grandchild has arrived and she is a beautiful little girl named Mio. She was born Saturday, July 24 at 0539 and weighed 8lb 4oz so she is nicely rounded and easy to hold. Her brothers adore her, as do, needless to say, her parents and grandparents. And I was able to go out and buy pink things!

Emma Lake

We had an enjoyable, though somewhat rainy weekend at Emma Lake with The Sisters, The Outlaws and Johnny and Krystal. The water was warm, meals exquisite and the sing songs, crib games and hilarity all as memorable as ever.

Calgary Stampede

This Tuesday, even though it was poring rain, Grampa Jar, Granny Bean, James and Eli met the Taits on the stampede grounds for some fun. We ate pizza, mini doughnuts, ice cream and rode on motorcycle, truck, and car rides, toured the Haunted House (twice ) and Looney Tunes House, watched the Superdogs perform, listened to Bobs and Lolo and played in the Little Buckeroo area. A good time was had by all!
