Saltspring Island Visit

Sunshine and fun filled our recent visit to Saltspring Island. We traveled to Vancouver Island one day to lunch with our longtime friends Pat and Angie, enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the beautiful farm of the Norgard's friends Heidi and Josh, watched or participated in games and adventures with Davin and Owen, were so pleased to have George, Val, Tammy, Nathan and Daniel visit simultaneously, and viewed Florence and Andy's fantastic new home. The highlight, though was the production of " Easy as Pi" in which the boys performed. This was a musical in which Lexicons( as flower children ) and Digits ( as West Side Story Jets ) befriended each other and worked together to solve a major problem. Lee Ann was partially responsible for the set and we were very proud of all of them

The Last of a Decade

Jim and Lucinda reached the last year of another decade on May 07/12. We watched Jim open his presents and helped eat his cheesecake while Lucinda and Kevin were enjoying "Cream Tea" in a village near Oxford.

A Friend

JR went hiking with the Taits in Brown Lowrey Provincial Park. This friend joined them at the higher elevations!

Kentucky

Maureen and I flew to Louisville and drove through the beautiful Kentucky woods to Lake Cumberland State Park Resort to attend the Coffey Cousins Convention. We found the creek on which our ancestors lived and streets, roads, schools and churches named after them. We indulged in all the fried chicken, crispy catfish, fried okra, turnip greens, peach cobbler and other low-cal food for which the south is famous!
