Olympic Celebration
We had the family together for an Olympic Windup. We cheered the hockey team on to win an exciting game for gold, enjoyed dinner together then watched the very extraordinary closing ceremony. What a wonderful seventeen days this has been!

Family Day
The Lakehouse was the venue for the Family Day holiday this year. The Taits , the Youngs, followed by Bean and JR and later Carmen and Mary Wyatt and their children enjoyed some skiing, skating, hotpooling and lots of comraderie. We missed Graham who stayed in the city to finish a project and Jim who was surfing in Tofino and of course we always miss the Norgards and M'akls!
Valentine's Day
My special valentine treated me to delightful three day ski trip into, around, and out from the Shadow Lake Lodge, a lovely set of log buildings begun in 1928 The 14.5 Km was more challenging than it was when we did it ten years ago. I wonder why? We had perfect "Alberta Blue" days (i.e. wax good at -2 to -7 which is almost always what ski days are here ), beautiful scenery, gourmet food, and interesting new friends. A most memorable excursion!
